While considering calling in gay tomorrow to show my support, a few things came to mind:

Working from home and setting my own hours, I could call in gay every day and no one would notice. I wouldn't need to call in, really. Since I don't call in with my hours now, it may only stand to confuse them.

There's nothing posted in my area for volunteering, and since I have a lunch date with mister mrtl, I can't leave the area to find something to do in the big city.

If I hang out at home and knit a hat for charity, would it count? It's doing something for someone else, but it's also enabling me to be lazy. It's hardly a sacrifice.
So what can I do?
I can't give blood since that possibility of passing out is there.
Gah - Once again my procrastination bites me in the ass.
I'll call the Red Cross in the morning.
