So Hänni thinks that I'm the one to hit up for ideas to kill a blogging slump. Reverse psychology, or plain silliness? Who knows. Anyway, I'm game. Doubt I'll get it done today, though.
I invite all three of you who are still checking in here to join me in writing a Motif Monday post, even if it doesn't get posted on Monday. The subject of which has escaped me recently, and would be a large part of my next bwopping installment -- due tomorrow if it gets done:
motivation
Do you have anything to say? Post a comment to let me know you participated, and maybe someday I'll get around to including a link. ;)

I want to write about motivation but I just can't seem to get started....
Heh. Glad to see you, miss mrtl.

amy - I know exactly how you feel!
rz - Here's a Bradley story for you: Once upon a time mrtl and mister mrtl were in their garage trying to figure out how the hell they were going to get the treadmill into the house when the hydraulic thingy on the bottom that lifted it up for storage kept popping out every time they lifted it, bonking mister mrtl on the leg and causing much frustration and dammits. In the midst of finally making some progress, using some moving straps to hold the damned hydraulic arm in place, Bradley's mother's truck pulled into their driveway. "Uh oh!" said mrtl. I hope they don't see us. "I'm not taking any chances," said mister mrtl, and closed the garage door.

Wow, the energy involved in imagining lifting a treadmill took all my energy... not that I had much to begin with. In fact I think it's time to go lie on the sofa and read some more.
I'm motivated, but I'm also exhausted.

Here's an idea. Whatever your favorite TV is, whenever a commerical comes on, do as many push-ups and sit-ups as you can until the show comes back on. Within a 30 minute TV show, you could do 200-300 push-ups and sit-ups easily -- and you watched TV while you did it! Also, I'll leave you with two quotes from Vince Lombardi, the master of motivation: "Make no little plans. They have no magic to stir men's blood. Make big plans." and "The difference between success and failure is energy." Now get out there and WIN!

well i missed you for sure mrtl! glad you are at least somewhat back.
Motivation, gotta say I have little these days. Things are pilin' up on me. I think there is that underlying stress to make sure EVERYTHING gets done because the thought of a baby around the house again freaks me the hell out, knowing full well NOTHING gets done in the wake of childbirth. Ahhh!

So I tried to write about motivation...all it did was fuel my anxiety. And lead to my blogging at work, which says something for my motivation here, no?
