A Bug Shall Be Born
Today was born the newest Bug in the mrtl menagerie, J.E.M. aka Frida.
She came into the world at 6:43pm with a minimum of complication and weighed in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces, and measured 21 inches.
Mom and baby are doing well and bonding happily.
More will follow, but be advised mrtl will not be home until Saturday night.
Bug will meet the new Bug tomorrow afternoon. There will be photos.
Congratulations!!!!! I'm so happy for all of you!
I can't wait to see photos of little J.E.M.

"minimum complications" and "home Saturday night" says something unplanned happened -- pay no attention to that worry-wart voice, I'm sure mrtl will reveal all in time.

I am a total softie and so am very teary right now. I'm just so gosh-darn happy for you folks. (And slightly worried about mrtl, but clinging to the "Mom and baby are doing well" part.) Please give mrtl a BIG, gentle hug for me and give a little handshake to J.E.M.
(BTW, my guess was 6:59pm! Granted, it was, like, a week ago. But still - that's close!!!)

So in the past few weeks, whenever I've meant to type "Frida", I've typed "Friday" instead.
But today, when I've meant to type "Happy Friday!" to people in emails, I end up with "Happy Frida!"
I'm celebrating her birth both consciously and subconsciously. :)
