Music makes the world go round...

Momo

Go for it girl, whatever makes you happy!

Andrea

I can always tell when I'm falling into a funk when I haven't been listening to music. (Radio doesn't count; and neither does the Wiggles!)

(P.S. This was a Snippy-Snap?? :) )

mrtl

lawbrat - Yes, it does!
Momo - Thanks!
Andrea - Gah! For me that would mean I've been in a funk for a long, long time. Yep, it's a Snippy Snap. I was pretty happy to rediscover this about myself today. And that's what Snippy Snaps are all about.

Amy

Man, I used to know every word to every song of the VF's. This brought back some memories.

kalki

You definitely need to dig out your music - for the workouts if nothing else. Listening to my tunes is my favorite thing about jogging. Rock on, sister.

wordgirl

Music! Of course! Why didn't we think of that as well? It's like a tiny epiphany when moments like yours in the shower come along. Buy that cd! Buy two!

Torrie

I'll have to download that one!

Hänni

Honey, you *so* need CDs. And what better way to rekindle your romance with music, than with the Violent Femmes? Add It Up rulez!

You know, VF's lead singer - his brother lives in Anchorage. They actually play at the Egan Convention Center pretty often, at least every other year.... I would recommend checking them out if you get the opportunity.

mrtl

Amy - It's been years since I listened to it. They played a festival I got to go to in the early 90's; awesome show!
kalki - You jog? I shouldn't be surprised. Yes, I need to get myself set up for working out. Maybe getting a mini isn't such a bad idea after all.
wordgirl - It will be a priority.
Torrie - The entire album is worth having.
Hänni - I'll have to check that out. Thanks!

iTunes, here I come...

mrtl

cat - Go!

Ern

I LOVE the Femmes! Totally takes me back, thanks.

Daphne

Don't you HATE that? Forgetting to listen to music, I mean. And remember that iPods are good for audio books and news and stuff as well!

suburban misfit

If'n you want, email me with some requests and I'll see if we have 'em on our iTunes, and I'll *ahem* burn a CD for you. Just as a, you know, *sample* until you buy what you want.

We have LOADS AND LOADS of music. Really.

mrtl

Ern - Welcome!
Daphne - I've forgotten for years. What was I thinking? Not.
misfit - Awesome! Thanks! We have yet to dig out the box; hopefully we'll get the Christmas stuff put away today, which will entail digging out under the stairs to get into the crawl space.

suburban misfit

Oh, and I forgot to say that I got an iPod as a birthday gift and I didn't even know I wanted it until I had it.

Best.Freaking.Gift.EVER.

mrtl

misfit - The more I think about it, especially with getting some more CD's, the more I'm thinking along the same lines.

Von Krankipantzen

Ah yes! The Femmes. Classic.

mrtl

Kranki - !

butterstar

Ahh, an ipod woud be sooo lovely. I was drooling on them at the Apple Store a week or two ago. Until they asked me to leave (too much drool). I've needed something to replace the broken CD changer in my car for 4 years now. I have started transferring my tapes to CD though. Which is really freaking cool.

And so is our local library, which lets you borrow nearly any CD under the sun. Oh yeahhh.
