Updated and Edited
I am trying to work here, peeps (aka Amy and Kalki). But I loves ya, so I'm going to put up a quickie to shut your asses up.
Here is my Stuff Portrait Friday submission. - visit Random and Odd for details - and yes I'm too lazy to link or to write in full sentences. Pictures may be added later.
I want more... productive weekends.
(I got Bug's room painted last weekend and the damn hall tree built. - bBoth were extremely frustrating, but they are FINISHED. -- t This weekend I will be painting Bug's bathroom - (yellow with a banner of water and goldfish using Shaun's kick-ass technique) and the master bath -- (went sage, or ("cactus" green) over Bug-eye blue because she WAS NOT up to going to WalMart with me last night for the color matching), - and getting more work made up, - and vacuuming -- (which will be tricky without a vacuum or any neighbors' phone numbers so; I'll have to be a person that who annoys me most: -- a dropper inner. Egads!).
I want less... Pooh. The picture below adequately represents where I think Pooh belongs. No, I didn't put Pooh in Bug's potty. She did. (I'll admit that she had taken him out in the minute while I ran to get the camera, so this is really a dramatic reenactment.) The second picture is of my next crafty project... maybe for next year. I saw this at the BX (that's Base Exchange for those non-mils of you) and had to get it. Is it obvious what is so wrong about it?
I am so fucking sick of Pooh. I want to strangle Pooh. Bug is constantly saying, "Pooh? Pooh? Pooh? AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! Poooooooooh!!!!!" I won't strangle her, though, because I looooove her. Saying "Pooh went night night" is usually enough to shut her up (unless she's really in the Pooh zone), so saying "Pooh is dead. There will be no more Pooh ever" should definitely shut her up.
I am perfectly satisfied with... the mountains that surround our house. No more, no less. Just right.

Yes, I realize that this is just one mountain. Since you're so damned observant, you can also see that it's raining. I went out to take this picture -- just for you -- in my bare feet. I had taken pictures of the bigger, snow-capped-but-melting mountain the other day, but it was too bright and the picture was all whited out. I'll learn this camera some day.
On a side note, the neighbors were outside, so I took the opportunity to hit them up for a vacuum cleaner. That's right, they're expecting me to go over tomorrow. I won't be an evil dropper inner. And actually, I suppose I can't be too hard on the droppers inner anymore. Today a neighbor knocked on the door. I had to answer because mister mrtl wasn't dressed and "They can see in the window." I opened the door in my pajama bottoms and completely mismatched USAF sweatshirt. Fuck it. They're not expected, so they can deal with my "I'm a Lovebug" pajama bottoms. Anyhoo, she was a-callin' because there was a BEAR spotted in the neighborhood, and it was seen climbing over MY NEIGHBOR'S fence. Needless to say, Bug and I did not go outside to play with her finger paints today.
And while I'm at it (updated updated update - even though it's so late that noone but the Australians have read the last update):
How can I get me some gmail? Could someone invite me? Please??
What is RSS feed? Too much talk about it and too much ignorance. (Case in point is Kalki on I hate pretty much everything.: "Although I must take this opportunity to state that I hate that your blog doesn't have the RSS feed enabled because I am always DAYS behind here.") You holding out on me biznitch?

Pooh. I love Pooh. How could you kill off Pooh? Pooh. Pooh. Pooh.

Oh, Pooh is my (and The Boy's) favorite! Classic Pooh, that is, not the Disney monstrosity. When The Boy was two, he had to have "BickeyPooh! BickeyPooh!" Translation: binkey and Pooh. Not one without the other.
Pooh on you for killing off Pooh!
(now let's see if we can get Google to link here when people type in Pooh!)

Why was tigger looking in the toilet?
He was looking for Pooh!

'Bout frickin' time. :)
I am so fucking sick of Pooh.
I want to strangle Pooh.
Ooh, you want to strangle Pooh, too?
Let's do, let's do!
Let's all strangle Pooh!
Oooh!
It's official - I need to go to bed now.

Susie - Let me go down in history as the one who killed Pooh. I'm fine with that.
Misfit - It's not so much Pooh in theory, because I am a fan. I've read the books (including The Tao of Pooh, The Tao of Piglet, and Pooh's Workout Book. It's watching the same damned thing over and over and over and over...
Heathen - Just you wait till I put up the pictures for these.
Kalki - Night night!

Your neighbourhood looks beautiful! Elli hasn't got on the Pooh band wagon yet, after reading this I hope it stays that way!

!!!! I don't think I left enough exclamation points in my first post!!!!!
Posted by: Bente | 2005.06.11 at 12:11 AM
Bente - They say kids shouldn't have so much tv, but really, your best bet is to give her a wide range of choices. Especially if you don't have Tivo. May I suggest Wiggles, Maisy, Dora the Explorer, Blue's Clues, and Oobi? Which reminds me, I still need to make my Oobi ring with Kranki's hints. Gah!
!!!!!!!!

mrtl, I'm sending you a gmail invite. Let me warn you that this is not my primary e-mail address, so if you ever try to e-mail me there, I likely will not see it for a few days to a month :)
And THOSE MOUNTAINS! ARE. GORGEOUS. Or that mountain. Whatever. Who cares if it's one or more than one, it's beautiful and I'm officially jealous.
P.S. Have you been using "Gah!" for a while? Because I've found myself using it, and wasn't sure where I picked it up. Sorry to be a copycat!

Pee for poo. The BEST kind of friend. How appropriate, condidering what I just finished doing before coming to read your blog. That potty is pretty clean. Has Bug actually used it, or is it all make-believe right now?
Wow. I wish I had me some bear adventures here. I have a feeling that we'll be seeing a lot more posts like "Bug and I couldn't go outside this week because a polar bear moved in to the neighbor's swimming pool." Fascinating.
I would kill to live in a house with that sweet big window and a mountain next door. So lovely. Sigh.

Andrea - Thanks for the invite!!
Yes, the mountains are gorgeous. Pretty much every window in the house has a view of them. This is payback for spending so much time in the flatness that is midwest Texas.
Oh, and gah? Stole it from Cat. She's the trendsetter around here, or at least the one who's in on all the hip new trends and sayings. (Although I can't bring myself to spell o.m.g. aloud.)
ieatcrayonz - All pretend right now. If's she's flinging Pooh in there when the pot is dirty, we're going to have to have a talk. If she finds it at all appropriate to pull Pooh out of the potty and love him up, we're going to have to have a talk. As it is, we're going to have to have a talk about this retching business. She's sitting next to me at the breakfast table doing it now. Doesn't she know my brother used to make me officially puke by doing that when we were kids? Doesn't she know it's impossible NOT to laugh at her, even though it's so wrong?

First, LOVE the color of Bug's room. Love it.
An RSS feed is a simplified version of your blog content (without colors, layout, etc.) that people can subscribe to. Yours has one b/c I'm subscribed. I can click a button and my RSS feeds update and tell me who has something new posted. This saves MUCH time b/c I know not to visit the blogs that haven't updated. Some RSS readers even send you the content of the new posts in your email (although I don't like this b/c I like to see the person's pretty page and not just read the words). I know a lot of people around here use Kinja (see Kristine's blog for link). I use Sage with Firefox: http://sage.mozdev.org/
To subscribe to a feed is as simple as creating a bookmark, only instead of creating a bookmark for the page, you create one for the RSS feed. Usually there's a link on a person's blog, or a button on your browser, that tells you if the site is RSS enabled.
Disclaimer: I am only this geeky because of the man to whom I am married.

ps - So this would not be the time to tell you that last week, here in Redneck Valley, an adult bear burst into someone's home and tore the place up? The lady was standing in her doorway and the bear shoved her aside (I shit you not) and then proceeded to ram into things and shred everything in sight. Redneck Valley made CNN and Good Morning America thanks to that bear.
A bear intrusion is rare, though. Really.

pps - God I'm sorry to leave yet another comment on this post. But anyhow, I would just like to say that I think your neighborhood bear has arrived to rough you up a bit for dissin' his cousin Pooh Bear. You know, like the Bear Mafia or something.
I'm gonna go post my new and improved STAR BADGE now.

Kalki - Stop. now. I'm already scared.
