Sometimes, to understand what the heck is going on, one has to be involved in comments. To figure out this one, see them here.
The other day, a quarter to 6 by my clock,
Kelli was compelled to say "OH. MY. GOCK."
Shear happiness in getting my gift of schlock
But I had to ask, "What the fock is a gock?"
An amused Susie inspired me to flock
To my keyboard and tackle my writer's block
And write a poem with Seussical rhymes, chock
Full of words like frock, jock, glock and cock.
And so this rhyme, it is for one who's choosy,
One who's choosy whose name is Susie,
Susie who is not very boozy,
But when she's tired she can be quite woozy.
Thinking of Susie reminds me of fish.
Don't ask me why, or my head will swish.
And with the swish I see a dirty dish.
Oh how I wish to clean that dish!
It is too bad I'm here with Bug,
And Bug is in the mood to tug,
She can be quite the little thug,
Giving me a tug instead of a hug.
It's not to say I don't love her mug,
Even when concealed by her plug.
But she constantly demands that her I lug
And play with blocks down on the rug.
Maybe she would chug a drug
And go to sleep so sweet and smug.
Then maybe I could wash the jug
That's there so icky and dirty... ugh!
And so I shrug because the Bug
Is not going to let me wash the jug.
...
But wait! I'm thinking thoughts delish
That maybe I CAN clean that dish.
On the counter, there, there is a fish!
Bug's little fish whose name is Bish.
Bug loves to watch her fish named Bish
From her chair; it's her constant wish!
Would you think me to be selfish
To let her visit Bish while I clean that dish?

Brava! Brava!

You are so quick,
as those keys you flick
I'd be slow as a turtle,
but not you, mrtl
You've given Seuss a run for his money
He never took "'ock" words and made them funny
I'd better stop now, I'm pushing my luck,
And anyhow, it's time for Jif and me to
get the toilet unstuck.
WHAT?

Misfit - ::bowing:: thank you very much
Susie - ::snapping to your poetic prowess::
Torrie - ::waving:: At least you're not hating on me for posting so much. I was hurting when I got a few days behind.
Kalki - ::inserting foreshadowing:: You may want to hold off on those "focking rocking" compliments for now, oh silly girl who freely gave me her mailing address in Redneck Valley. (p.s. I'm in a valley, too! I don't know what kind... yet.)
