Motif Monday
Motif Monday was originally created on May 23, 2005, the reason why I backdated this post to that day.
Background:
The beginnings of Motif Monday started with Kalki. We were having so much fun with The KLOG Google Campaign that I wanted to spread the love. I wanted to figure out a fun #1 Google Search Term for each of my blogging buddies. When I saw that other bloggers already had a handle on this, I figured they could do it their damn selves, and wanted them to share. Mondays then evolved into an opportunity for me to assign a topic to myself, inviting everyone else to join in. This helps me because I'm a major procrastinator. But even if I don't write my post till Sunday night (or Monday morning), I've been thinking about it for a week, so I'm not showing up empty-minded.
Another blogger that played a huge role in how Motif Monday came to be is LadyBug. At one point she had blogged about not having anything to write about, which got me thinking about putting together a list of topics to have on hand in case someone really wanted to write but didn't know where to start.

How to Participate:
Motifs are posted at the end of each of my Motif Monday entries. They can also be seen in the sidebar (kick me if I haven't updated that). The sidebar is starting to get a little too big, which is another reason I'm storing all the archive information here.
There are no rules to Motif Monday. You don't even have to post your entry on Monday if you don't want to. If you like one of the topics we've done in the past, have at it! If you leave a comment with a link, I'll add you to the original post. If you've already blogged about the day's topic, same deal.
